Red, White, & Blue

flowers just in time for America's 250th Birthday!

Native salvias make a nice addition to any Florida yard. They're easy to grow and "maintain" even in sandy soils. We even have some that seeded themselves in crushed concrete this year!

Salvias are in the mint family, so they do spread easily, but for most growers, the more the merrier!

Azure blue sage is native to northern Florida while tropical sage can be found throughout the state. At Woodland Farms, we carry red, white, pink, and blue sages in our native nursery. The azure blue sage does go fast, but we will grow more!

Hummingbirds frequent the tubular flowers as well as bees and butterflies. It is a favorite of the giant swallowtail. The red seems to be the top choice for pollinators.
